I don't remember making any argument for Technological determinism -- I proposed
that technology has an effect -- it changes things often in a way we can not
imagine -- if anything I proposed that blogging was an aspect of technological
indeterminacy -- in that as a transitional form -- it will produce effects
beyond those it was originally intended to serve.  As for someone suggesting
that all forms are transitional -- I would suggest that while nothing is
permanent -- certain practices have a shorter and more shelf life than others --
in that their appeal lies in their novelty  or their function is quickly absorb
into  or appropriated by other structures that tend to have broader application.
 In that on the positivist level technology tends to move from diversity and
redundancy (competing models and functions) to standardization ( a singularity
capable of serving multiple functions)
